A public convening and performance for the close of our inaugural exhibit, Beyond Space, exploring the theme REVIVE/Revival

To commemorate the closing the new Carr Center Gallery's inaugural exhibit, Beyond Space , we will present a special performance / closing circle / artist talk.
For African folk in America, the revival (also referenced as a hush
harbor) served as a gathering of neighboring spirit communities to experience, witness and testify on the complexities of the material
/spiritual existence.
In this closing circle, Carr Center Independent Artists and Scholars Viktor L. Ewing Givens,Jennifer Harge and Ricky Weaver will facilitate a space honoring this particular Black fellowship.
Attendees are invited to join the conversation both during the event and at a community reception immediately following.
